HANDING THE REIGNS TO THE NEXT GENERATION

On August 1, 2024, Tina officially retired and handed over the business to her daughter, Elizabeth Ashby.  Beth is leading the team and continuing the legacy that Tina and Rod started just a few years ago.  Beth and her husband, Martin, purchased a home in Eustis and are enjoying the warmer weather and welcoming spirit of Lake County.  Beth retired as a Professor of Economics from Syracuse University and the University of Rochester. Martin was a law enforcement officer in Central NY for 20 years and a military police officer in the Army serving in the Persian Gulf War.  This team brings a unique set of skills to the Ashby leadership team.  We are excited about the future of the business under their direction.

ASHBY HS SERVICES IS THE RESULT OF MY DESIRE TO HELP MY FRIENDS AND NEIGHBORS

Tina Ashby is the founder of Ashby Household Services. She has always loved helping people and uncovered a unique way to lend a hand to our neighbors in Mount Dora and surrounding areas.  While looking around the community, she realized there were many opportunities to provide assistance in areas that she was passionate about, including working with seniors and helping people create an organized, relaxing home environment.  When speaking to neighbors, Tina learned they often need help but do not want to "bother" anyone with small tasks, or they could not find anyone willing to take them on.  She discovered an opportunity to focus on taking care of your never-ending "to-do" lists or providing assistance to those wanting to live safely at home for as long as possible.

Providing Estate Sale Services for families who need to liquidate all or part of the home of a loved one is a growing need in our community. Ashby focuses on taking a stressful or overwhelming process and making it as easy as possible.  Our team sets up, markets, and sells your personal belongings and collectibles to prepare the home for its final sale.

As Certified Home Organizers, Ashby staff can put your garage, pantry, closets, or any area of your home in tip-top shape, free of stressful clutter, and help you with a plan to enable you to keep it that way.  In fact, we are willing to look at any project you want completed around the house and formulate a plan to get it completed.  Fortunately, we have a team of professionals and talented staff who are ready to assist with whatever non-medical needs you may have.

How much work do we need to do for our sale? 

 

After you have removed any items you want to keep from your home, the Ashby team will start to sort, organize, and merchandise your possessions. We make the process easy for you and stress free. 

 

Do we have to attend the sale? 

No, we find sale day can be a stressful time to see people looking through the items you collected for many years. Take a mini trip, stay with some friends, go to enjoy family and we will do the rest! 

How do I find out when and where your sales is
